CHANGE IN HOTEL RATE!!!!!
A note from Jean Logan:
We heard over the weekend from the hotel that because they have sold out of their rooms for the weekend we are coming, they are raising the rate for the 10 rooms they are holding for us to $235/night (this includes all taxes). This is an increase of $40/night. Our travel agent has checked for alternatives, and there is nothing close to the Verizon Center that is available for less than this. If folks want to, you can go back to the Holiday Inn where you stayed last year for about $190/night. She has reserved rooms there as a backup. However, this is almost 5 blocks from the closest Metro stop, and about 20 blocks from the Verizon Center.
